The Desert Christian Knights will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Palmdale Academy Charter School Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. Desert Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Desert Christian posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past St. Monica Academy 42-22.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Corynn Smith, who scored seven points along with 19 rebounds and three steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayde Mckinzie, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Palmdale Academy Charter School's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their third straight loss. They took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Palmdale Aerospace Academy.
Desert Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Palmdale Academy Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
