The Sylmar Spartans will head out on the road to take on the George Washington Prep Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sylmar walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers on Friday and snuck past 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Sylmar has posted since January 6th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sylmar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Ceja, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Vivianna Alvarado, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, George Washington Prep put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 55-34 margin over Wilson. The victory was just what George Washington Prep needed coming off of a 79-36 defeat in their prior game.
Sylmar's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for George Washington Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
