Mikayla Oliver was her usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The matchup was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. Azalea Kubic was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 steals and nine rebounds.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Oxnard, bringing their record for this year to 15-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Santa Barbara, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Oxnard will head out on the road to face off against Rio Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio Mesa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 753rd, while Oxnard is ranked 45th). As for Santa Barbara, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ventura at 7:00 p.m.
