Everything went Penn Cambria's way against the Eagles as the Panthers made off with a 65-41 win. Given Penn Cambria's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Eagles are ranked 535th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Makenna Mccoy went supernova for Penn Cambria, scoring 17 points. Avery Lemaster was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Somerset lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eve Housley. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Housley hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Holmes, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds.
Penn Cambria has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Somerset, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
