After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hanover-Horton, Addison was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the East Jackson Trojans with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Panthers have beaten the Trojans the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.
Jacob Wright made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
