On Friday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Portersville Christian had to settle for a 49-46 loss against North East. Portersville Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexandra Cozzens, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Cozzens hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Gigi Gaston, who scored 12 points.
Portersville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for North East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.
Portersville Christian and Trinity Christian will face off at 4:15 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North East and Eisenhower will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Eisenhower has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
