The Pine-Richland Rams kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a tough 50-28 loss at the hands of Baldwin.
Madison Zavasky and Maren Iski certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Zavasky dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Iski scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Pine-Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Baldwin, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Pine-Richland will head out on the road to face off against Peters Township at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Baldwin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mars at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th.
