The Cupertino Pioneers lost against the Independence 76ers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cupertino fell just short of Independence by a score of 34-31.
It was another big night for Ashjeet Kaur, who scored 11 points for Independence. Another player making a difference was Jodi Regondola, who scored six points.
Cupertino's loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Independence, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Cupertino will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Wilcox at 6:15 p.m. Wilcox is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Independence, they will head out on the road to face off against Milpitas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Milpitas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Thursday.
