El Rancho has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The El Rancho Dons and the Capistrano Valley Cougars will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Hopefully El Rancho focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
Last Monday, El Rancho came up short against Diamond Ranch and fell 38-26.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Emery Riker, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carissa Basurto, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They walked away with a 39-32 victory over Rancho Alamitos. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Capistrano Valley has managed all season.
El Rancho's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Capistrano Valley, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
