The Juniata Indians waltzed into Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 59-18 win over Midd-West. With Juniata ahead 31-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Regan Lowrey was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 19 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylee Landis, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Midd-West saw an underclassman step up: Emma Wagner scored nine points.
Juniata pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Midd-West, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Juniata won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Selinsgrove at 1:45 p.m. on December 9th. Selinsgrove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Juniata is ranked 83rd). As for Midd-West, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than nine points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
