The Stone Ridge Christian Knights lost against the Ceres Bulldogs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Stone Ridge Christian took a 50-35 bruising from Ceres.
Stone Ridge Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Ewing, who scored 14 points. Ewing scored a full 40% of Stone Ridge Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Cali Cole was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Leading Ceres to victory were Marissa Renteria and Arrayah Stallworth. Renteria scored 16 points, while Stallworth dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds. The matchup was Renteria's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Stone Ridge Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Ceres, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Stone Ridge Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Denair at 3:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Ceres, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Enochs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Enochs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 822nd, while Ceres is ranked 270th).
