The Piner Prospectors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Kelseyville by a score of 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Prospectors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Betzie Hernandez , who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds. Julia Almaraz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Piner's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Kelseyville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Piner will head out on the road to face off against Grace Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kelseyville will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Corning at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. Corning comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
