Cameron County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Coudersport Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Cameron County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
Cameron County scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They walked away with a 50-40 victory over Smethport.
Cameron County can attribute much of their success to Navaeh Spaeth, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Elsie Bresslin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Cloe Farren, who scored six points.
Coudersport can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against Oswayo Valley by a score of 41-31. The win was just what Coudersport needed coming off of a 45-20 loss in their prior matchup.
Cameron County's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. Coudersport's record now sits at 2-3.
Things could have been worse for Cameron County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-40 loss to Coudersport in their previous matchup back in February. Can Cameron County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
