Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastlake). Everything went their way against the Grossmont Foothillers on Monday as the Eastlake Titans made off with a 6-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Titans needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Their offense was hitting Grossmont from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sophia May led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Eastlake's win bumped their record up to 4-1-3. As for Grossmont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Eastlake wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Los Alamitos on the 2nd. As for Grossmont, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Point Loma at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Point Loma is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
