Gatesville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lorena, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's   matchup.  Cy Burns continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 258 yards and five  TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Those  258  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high. Gatesville also got help from  Amos Phillips, who showed off his sure hands for 106  receiving yards.

Gatesville's record now sits at 6-1. As for Lorena,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-5.
