Woodlake is 0-10 against Corcoran since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Woodlake Tigers will be playing at home against the Corcoran Panthers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Woodlake has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Corcoran will arrive with 12 straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Woodlake lost to Farmersville at home by a decisive 47-32 margin.
Meanwhile, Corcoran beat Strathmore 38-31 on Tuesday.
Corcoran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Katalina Castillo out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Luna, who scored 11 points along with five assists and three blocks.
Woodlake's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Corcoran, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
Woodlake took a serious blow against Corcoran when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 74-28. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Woodlake was down 41-13.
