The Corydon Central Panthers were the  59-39 winner over the Lanesville Eagles when they last played one another  back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Corydon Central ended up on the wrong side of a  rough 54-31 walloping at the hands of Lanesville on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Corydon Central has scored all season.
 Corydon Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Alyssa Groover, who  scored ten points. Another player making a difference was  Jaiden Cantrell, who  scored ten points along with five  rebounds.
 Lanesville got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Hadley Crosier out in front who  scored 11 points along with five  assists and four  steals. Crosier has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last five times she's  played.  Emma Davis was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with three  steals.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Corydon Central and  nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Lanesville, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
 Corydon Central will square off against Eastern at TBD on Thursday. Eastern will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Corydon Central is ranked 104th). As for Lanesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Floyd Central at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Floyd Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
