The St. Pius X Sartans will face off against the Manzano Monarchs at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. St. Pius X will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more  points each  game than the last.
St. Pius X is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They took their  matchup  on Friday with ease, bagging  a  62-12 victory over Valencia. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  33-12.

 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Pius X to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Isaiah Carpenter, who threw for 200 yards and four  touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also punched in one  score on the ground. Carpenter has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  passing touchdowns the last three times he's  played.  Hershul Olloway Jr helped  Carpenter out on the ground, rushing for 120 yards and a pair of  TDs on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Manzano came into Saturday's   game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with  a   36-25  win over Silver  on Saturday.
Manzano found their leader in sophomore  Broden Price, who rushed for 170 yards and one  score. Another receiver making a difference was  Aiden Erickson, who picked up 74 receiving yards and one  touchdown.
 Manzano was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 215  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Manzano didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Erickson and  Justin Duran. Erickson got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Manzano now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for St. Pius X, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
 St. Pius X beat Manzano 16-7  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024. Will the Sartans repeat their success,  or do  the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
