Harker is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. They will host the South San Francisco Warriors at 5:00 p.m. South San Francisco took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Harker, who comes in off a win.
Harker took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Pajaro Valley 10-2. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Shaurya Jain made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Mason Brooks was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Vidwat Shekar, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Harker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while it was South San Francisco who put the first points on the board last Tuesday, it was Mills who put up more. South San Francisco took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mills.
South San Francisco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Martin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
South San Francisco's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Harker, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Harker suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to South San Francisco in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Harker avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
