The Mayfair Monsoons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Norwalk 70-42 at home. The victory was nothing new for Mayfair as they're now sitting on three straight.
Norwalk's loss came despite strong showings from Keilani Ganancial and Katlyn Moreno. Ganancial scored 22 points along with three steals, while Moreno scored eight points along with three steals. Ganancial scored a full 52.4% of Norwalk's points, the 18th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Mayfair's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Norwalk, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayfair will face off against Firebaugh at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Norwalk, they will head out on the road to face off against La Mirada at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. La Mirada will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
