The Schuylkill Valley Panthers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 39-31 win over Upper Dauphin Area. For Schuylkill Valley, this counts as revenge for the 42-30 defeat Upper Dauphin Area walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Upper Dauphin Area lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emilee Deibert, who scored five points along with six rebounds. Deibert also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kasey Weibley, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Schuylkill Valley's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Upper Dauphin Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Schuylkill Valley will head out on the road to face off against Brandywine Heights Area at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Susquenita at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Susquenita is ranked 209th, while Upper Dauphin Area is ranked 212th).
