The Silverado Hawks have been a dominant force so far but will be looking to break out of a two-game mini slump. They were the victim of a tough 70-46 loss at the hands of Rialto on Wednesday. Silverado was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-17.
Silverado's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elizabeth Udeze, who scored 13 points. Udeze scored a full 28.3% of Silverado's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Belinda Rincon was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Rialto's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carrington Davis, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. The matchup was Davis' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Rabino, who scored 26 points.
Silverado's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Rialto, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Silverado will be playing at home against Oak Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rialto, they will head out on the road to face off against Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
