the top player on the state's top 3A team. She recorded 641 kills, 85 blocks
and 72 aces as Wylie recorded 43-5 record in winning the state title.
MB - Haleigh Nelson, Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, N.C.), 6-3 Senior Nelson
tallied 120 digs, 28 aces, 95 blocks, 336 kills (55.5 percent) and 201
reception serves as Gibbons won the 3A state title. She will attend
Wisconsin.
MB/OH - Maddie Cannon, Rio Americano (Sacramento, Calif.), 6-1 SeniorCannon
totaled 570 kills, 309 digs, 58 blocks and had a 93 percent serving rate (62
aces) in 420 attempts in leading the Raiders to a 32-9 record.
OH - Arianna Person, St. James Academy (Lenexa, Kan.), 5-8 Junior Person
battled back from knee injuries to record 370 kills, 38 aces, 280 digs
and lead St. James to 40-4 record and the 5A state title.
OH - Kayla Ellis, Century (Pocatello, Idaho), 5-8 SophomoreEllis tallied 591 kills, 32 blocks, 411 digs and 64 aces as Century won the 4A state title and won 41 of 44 matches.
OH/MH - Kiahna Steiner, Billings (Mont.), 6-0 Senior Steiner
led Billings to the state title and a 38-0 record. Billings
won 95 of 103 games as Steiner recorded 259 Kills, 41 aces, 105
digs and 118 blocks.
MH - Mikaela Foecke, Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, Iowa), 6-3 Sophomore

Foecke was the
most prolific hitter in the state in kill efficiency with 601 (54.5 percent),
and she recorded 208 digs. Foecke also served 95 percent (60 aces) and added
106 blocks (45 solos) as Holy Trinity went 42-4 and won another state
title.
MH - Kelsey Cave, Solon (Iowa), 6-2 SeniorIn leading Solon to a 33-5 record, Cave totaled 610 kills, 189 digs and 83 blocks. She will play at Bradley.
S/OH - Kali Eaken, Bishop Miege (Shawnee Mission, Kan.), 5-9 JuniorEaken
led Bishop Meige to the state semifinals with 1,073 assists, 244 digs, 54
blocks and 177 kills (only 18 errors in 325 serves).
S - Kirsten Mead, Valley Christian (San Jose, Calif.), 5-11 JuniorMead guided Valley Christian to a 35-9 record and the semifinals of the California D-III tournament. She registered 249 kills, 330 digs, 606 assists and 83 aces.
S - Mariah Hebert, Biddeford (Maine), 5-7 senior

Hebert
led the Tigers to the Class A championship match and had 48 aces while
serving at 96 percent, missing only 10 serves all year. She also had 350
assists and 56 digs.
DS/L - Aaliyah Lewis, Dimond (Anchorage, Alaska), 5-3 SeniorLewis
led Dimond to the state's Class A championship and a 34-3 record. She
registered 713 digs, 60 aces (408 serves, 94.6 percent), 440 serve receptions
and 30 errors.
AA - Amelia Held, St. Pius X (Festus, Mo.), 5-10 SeniorHeld recorded 399 kills, 397 digs, 100 blocks and had a 94 percent serving percentage in leading St. Pius to a 34-4-1 record. She will play at UNI.
AA - Alexis Patterson, Northwest Christian (Phoenix), 6-0 JuniorPatterson led Northwest to a 31-12 record with 436 kills, 109 aces (94 percent on 500 serves), 35 blocks, 343 digs and 393 assists.
