The Gonzales Spartans will be taking part in a tournament against The Nueva School Mavericks at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Gonzales is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 6-1 to Prospect on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Spartans were already down 3-0.
