The Huntington Park Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Gate 61-21 at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Huntington Park as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Huntington Park's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ingryd Hernandez, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juana Vargas, who scored 11 points.
Huntington Park's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for South Gate, they bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
