The Bucktail Bucks will head out on the road to take on the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Bucktail has not done well against the Mountaineers recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bucktail walked away with a 39-30 victory over the Mountaineers.
Meanwhile, Neumann Regional Academy entered their tilt with the Rangers with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Neumann Regional Academy was the clear victor by a 57-37 margin over the Rangers. Neumann Regional Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.
Neumann Regional Academy's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from GiGi Parlante, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Parlante hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Weller, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Bucktail has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Neumann Regional Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Things could have been worse for Bucktail, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-40 loss to the Golden Knights in their previous matchup back in January. Can Bucktail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
