Leadership Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Martin out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Landon Burleyson, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Leadership Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Millennium, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leadership Academy will challenge Cornerstone Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Cornerstone Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday. As for Millennium, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop McGuinness at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop McGuinness presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Millennium in North Carolina (Bishop McGuinness is ranked 224th, while Millennium is ranked 681st).
