Roosevelt found their leader in underclassman Nyleigh Gregory, who scored 28 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gregory has scored at least a third of Roosevelt's points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Sutherland, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Roosevelt's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-7. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.3 points. As for Sanger West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will take on the Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: BRIANNAH LORTA and Sutherland. As for Sanger West, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Highlanders at 6:30 p.m.
