Blue Earth took down Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Fairmont made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,304 from 6,219. The improvement came about via a 26-0 victory over Worthington last week.
Blake Piotter was the best running back in South Central this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 89 yards as New Ulm fell to Belle Plaine. Teammate Yackley added to the ground attack by rushing for 59 yards.
Piotter was a passing and rushing force as the Eagles fell to the Tigers.
Yackley was the best wideout in the league this week as New Ulm lost to Belle Plaine.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Tony Ortmann's team takes on St. Peter. The Eagles are in sixth place, while the Saints are in second place.
The Buccaneers led South Central in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Knights.
