Abington Friends's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Solebury.
Solebury found their leader in underclassman Naleli Coplan, who scored 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Coplan has scored at least 25% of Solebury's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Turner, who scored 12 points.
Abington Friends bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Solebury, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Abington Friends will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Solebury, they will head out on the road to face off against Kimberton Waldorf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kimberton Waldorf presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Solebury in Pennsylvania (Kimberton Waldorf is ranked 22nd, while Solebury is ranked 152nd).
