Meanwhile, Surry Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They really took it to West Wilkes for the full four quarters, racking up a 95-63 win on the road. That looming 95-63 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Surry Central yet this season.
Surry Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tripp Mcmillen, who scored 18 points along with six assists and four steals. The match was Mcmillen's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mason Cox, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Mount Airy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Surry Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
