The Christian Community Warriors were the 34-31 winner over the Oberlin The Phoenix when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Christian Community fell 46-36 to the The Phoenix on Monday. Christian Community has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adelynn McKee, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Sarah Solak, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
Christian Community has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Oberlin, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Community will take on the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Open Door Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Oberlin, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Clippers at 7:00 p.m.
