Make it ten blowout wins for the Crenshaw Cougars this season. They blew past George Washington Prep 77-32 at home. The victory was nothing new for Crenshaw as they're now sitting on five straight.
Despite the defeat, George Washington Prep had strong showings from Dereon Conant, who scored 13 points, and Hunter Bryant, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks. Bryant is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kimora Jackson, who scored three points along with eight rebounds.
Crenshaw has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for George Washington Prep, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crenshaw will take on King/Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. King/Drew has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for George Washington Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dorsey at 5:30 p.m. Dorsey comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
