St. Joseph has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. The St. Joseph Spartans and the Kiski Area Cavaliers will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kiski Area took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Joseph, who comes in off a win.
Even though North Hills scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, St. Joseph still came out on top. St. Joseph had just enough and edged North Hills out 61-58.
St. Joseph's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julie Spinelli, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Spinelli has scored at least 25% of St. Joseph's points. Gia Richter was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kiski Area lost to Armstrong on the road by a decisive 48-32 margin on Saturday.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
St. Joseph was taken down by Kiski Area 54-13 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can St. Joseph avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
