Ottumwa will challenge Des Moines East on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Ottumwa come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for Ottumwa, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were given a punishing 0-50 defeat at the hands of Waukee.
Last Friday, Des Moines East put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Mason City 55-14. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.
Des Moines East's victory lifted them to 3-4 while Ottumwa's loss dropped them down to 1-6. We'll find out if Des Moines East can add another positive mark to their record or if Ottumwa can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Des Moines East's step.
