Griffith is 7-1 against Washington Township since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will challenge the Senators at 5:15 p.m. Griffith is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Griffith made easy work of Whiting and carried off an 18-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Oilers: they've now won four in a row.
Logan Jimenez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Griffith is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-10 otherwise. Jimenez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Jason Quillin was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Jonathan Nevarez was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Griffith always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Kouts hit Washington Township with a five-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Senators lost 10-0 to the Mustangs & Fillies. The Senators haven't had much luck with the Mustangs & Fillies recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Washington Township's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Griffith, their record is now 8-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Griffith has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Washington Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Griffith skirted past Washington Township 4-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
