Basketball Recap: Quion Andrews Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cape Fear

There's no place like home for Gray's Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 53-47 W over the Cape Fear Colts on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Gray's Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quion Andrews led the charge by going 8 of 11 on his way to 22 points. Andrews' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezekiel Reed, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Cape Fear lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chosen Wynn, who posted ten points. Dylan Parker was another key player, putting up ten points.

Gray's Creek's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Cape Fear, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
