Washington has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ashland Arrows at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Washington is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Arrows in Ohio (the Tigers are ranked 120th, while the Arrows are ranked 398th).
Last Friday, Washington came up short against the Panthers and fell 57-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Washington has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chris Knight, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Giorgio Jackson jr, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Ashland didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Generals on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win. The win was just what Ashland needed coming off of a 74-50 loss in their prior contest.
Washington has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Ashland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.
Washington beat the Arrows 61-54 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Does Washington have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Arrows turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
