The Katella Knights entered their tilt with the Santa Fe Chiefs with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Katella came out on top against Santa Fe by a score of 37-24 on Thursday.
Despite the defeat, Santa Fe had strong showings from Serenity Fausto, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Alexa Gonzalez, who scored five points. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Katella is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Katella will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ocean View at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Ocean View is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Santa Fe and Bravo will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Bravo's defense has only allowed 26.4 points per game this season, so Santa Fe's offense will have their work cut out for Santa Fe.
