Chartiers-Houston is 7-0 against Bentworth since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Last Monday, Chartiers-Houston strolled past Bethlehem Center with points to spare, taking the game 51-36.
Chartiers-Houston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Capozzoli, who scored 21 points along with three steals. Mia Mitrik was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
Meanwhile, Bentworth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 41-37 to Southmoreland.
Despite the defeat, Bentworth got a solid performance out of Amber Sallee, who scored 17 points.
Chartiers-Houston pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Bentworth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Chartiers-Houston against Bentworth in their previous meeting on January 2nd as the team secured a 47-15 victory. Will Chartiers-Houston repeat their success, or does Bentworth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
