There's no place like home for the Ripon Christian Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down Livingston 37-21 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Ripon Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ripon Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Yonker, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals. Yonker has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Van der hoek, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Livingston's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasandra Soria, who scored six points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Livingston struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Ripon Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10. As for Livingston, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Hilmar the next time they take the court. Ripon Christian will host the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wolves will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
