Chico has gone a perfect 10-0 against Enterprise recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Hornets at 2:00 p.m. Chico will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Chico not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th (when they won 14-1). They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Pleasant Valley. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Tanner Horn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Horn was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Chico got a massive performance out of Jaxxon Tweedt, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Tweedt has posted since back in May of 2025. Guiseppe Bianchi was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Chico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Enterprise had just enough and edged out Etna 3-2 on Wednesday.
Wayde Hutchings spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on zero hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Enterprise saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnnie Doremus, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Enterprise is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Chico, their record now sits at 9-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Chico has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Enterprise struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Chico's way against Enterprise in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Chico made off with a 9-1 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
