The Palmdale Falcons lost against the Eastside Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Palmdale took a serious blow against Eastside, falling 102-16. Palmdale has struggled against Eastside recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Eastside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camrynn Whitley led the charge by scoring 23 points. That's the first time this season that Whitley scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Niela Niela, who scored 21 points.
Palmdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Eastside, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmdale will square off against Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lancaster presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Palmdale in California (Lancaster is ranked 399th, while Palmdale is ranked 982nd). As for Eastside, they will head out on the road to face off against Littlerock at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Littlerock comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
