The Montgomery Red Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Bucktail Bucks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Montgomery was beaten by Muncy 53-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Montgomery has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Bucktail came up short against Neumann Regional Academy on Tuesday and fell 55-48. Bucktail has not had much luck with Neumann Regional Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Montgomery dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Bucktail, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Montgomery came up short against Bucktail in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 36-28. Can Montgomery avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
