Burroughs barely beat Serrano the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Burroughs never let Serrano get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Thursday. Joaquin Vasquez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Burroughs is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise. Vasquez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.
