The Coalinga Horned Toads lost against the Kerman Lions back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. Coalinga took a  43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kerman. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coalinga in their matchups with Kerman: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Coalinga's lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Julia Gressman, who  scored 9 points.  Breeze Aispuro was another key contributor,  scoring 4 points.
 Coalinga's defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  bumped their record down to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Kerman, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
 Coalinga's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fresno Christian at 11:00  a.m.  on December 9th. Fresno Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 925th, while Coalinga is ranked 245th). As for Kerman, they will be playing at home against McLane at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
