The Kennedy Eagles suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Ansonia by a score of 70-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (60), Kennedy still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Irving Rivera, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Terrance Morrison, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Kennedy has fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 3-7. As for Ansonia, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Kennedy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wolcott at 7:00 a.m. Wolcott is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Ansonia, they will head out on the road to take on O'Brien RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. O'Brien RVT is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
