Turkeyfoot Valley Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maleigha Younkin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Younkin has scored at least 25% of Turkeyfoot Valley Area's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley Mitchell, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Johnstown Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area and Hancock will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hancock comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
