Despite the loss, New Castle still got an impressive performance from Emma Hart, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 51.9% of New Castle's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kaidyn Minyard, who scored four points along with two steals.
New Castle has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Yorktown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
