Brooks County is 0-10 against Clinch County since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out to challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Clinch County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Brooks County, who comes in off a win.
Brooks County will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Turner County on Friday. The Trojans blew past the Titans 12-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Jake Flythe made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Conner Priest was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Brooks County is undefeated when Priest posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-5 otherwise. Noel Tapia was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Brooks County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Clinch County suffered their closest defeat since March 28, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of Atkinson County by a score of 7-5.
Clinch County's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Brooks County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Brooks County suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Clinch County in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
